Privacy Policy

Mystigo identifies artworks, antiques, and collectibles from photos you submit and provides AI-generated market estimates. To do that, we process the data described below.

Photos you scan are uploaded to our servers and processed by the third-party AI and search services listed below to produce your identification.

We do not use your photos to train AI models unless you opt in. This is off by default. On the Account page there is a checkbox — “Let Mystigo use my photos to train its AI” — that is unticked until you tick it yourself. Turn it off again at any time and your photos leave the training set immediately; you do not need to contact us. We never sell your photos and never use them for advertising, whichever way that checkbox is set.

To make repeat scans instant and to improve identification quality, we keep an image fingerprint (a short numeric hash that cannot be turned back into your photo) together with the result text. That record is not linked to your identity. If you have an account, your scan history also stores your results and image references so your finds sync across devices.

If you create an account (email magic link), we store your email address, plan, and scan history (results and image references) so your finds sync across devices. Anonymous scans are subject to a device-based quota and are not linked to an identity.

Scanned images and/or derived data are processed by:

• OpenAI (image analysis)
• Google Cloud Vision (text/signature OCR)
• SerpAPI / Google Lens (visual search)
• Yandex Images and TinEye (reverse image search) — only when you tap one of the “search this image” buttons on a result. Tapping it opens that search engine with a link to your photo.
• Cloudinary (image hosting)
• eBay Browse API (market comparables; listings may include affiliate links via the eBay Partner Network)
• Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting)
• Resend (sign-in emails), Stripe (payments, if you purchase)

We use Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel to understand how the product is used (page views, scan events, sign-ups). These tools may set cookies. We do not send them your photos or scan results.

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. Deleting your account removes your profile, scan history, and usage records, and permanently deletes your login. The image fingerprint and result text described above are not linked to your identity and may be retained to improve identification quality.

Uploaded image files are held by our image host. To have the original files removed as well, email support@mystigo.com and we will delete them.

Mystigo estimates are AI-generated opinions based on visual analysis and market data. They are not certified appraisals and should not be relied on for insurance, tax, estate, or legal purposes.
